Welcome to Loren’s Lookout, your mountain basecamp in the heart of the Wapiti Valley. Perfectly situated between the town of Cody and the East Entrance of Yellowstone National Park, this cozy cabin puts you right where you want to be for adventure and relaxation. Spend your days exploring the park, fishing the Shoshone, or strolling downtown Cody, then return to sweeping mountain views and peaceful valley evenings. Mule deer, whitetail deer, moose, fox, eagles, and even the occasional bison are frequent visitors to the area, reminding you that you are in wild Wyoming. Loren’s Lookout is also dog friendly, so your four legged family members can join the adventure.
Inside, you will find a warm and welcoming space designed for easy family living. The comfortable living room invites you to unwind with a Smart TV and a full size sleeper sofa for additional guests (newly upgraded in 2026). The open dining area and well equipped kitchen with modern appliances make gathering for meals simple and enjoyable. The main level bedroom features a queen bed and generous closet space, with a step in shower just down the hall. Upstairs, the loft offers two twin beds and extra space to spread out, accessible by an indoor ladder or exterior upper level door. A washer and dryer add convenience for longer stays.
Step outside and take in the views from the large deck, fire up the gas grill for summer dinners, and enjoy Wyoming’s famous dark skies with the provided telescope. Books and games make it easy to slow down and reconnect after a day of exploring.
*This property utilizes exterior security camera on the exterior front door.
*Please note the outdoor stairs going to the upper loft are steep and we do not recommend for small children. There is an indoor ladder leading to the loft.
*This cabin does not have air conditioning. Opening windows to let in the cooler mountain air at night will help keep temperatures comfortable.

Lauren’s Lookout was a cute home conveniently located between Cody and Yellowstone. The views were breathtaking from the deck. We used the grill both nights, enjoyed dinner under the stars. Nice area to walk the dog. Would definitely recommend this home!

Ideal Lodging
We really enjoyed Loren's Lookout. The view in every direction was lovely and fascinating. It was quiet, entry was easy, location was simple to get to, and the unit was clean and comfortable for the two of us. The location was ideal for time spent in Y-Stone and equal time spent in Cody and east of Cody (Big Horn area). We would choose Loren's again if returning to the NE WY. Thank you! Oh, and changing our reservation slightly shortly before the trip was no big deal for Cody Lodging Co; that was very much appreciated.

The house was amazing for my family during our vacation! very nice location with excellent views, utilities worked without any issues, and we appreciated the board game selection during any downtime. The lack of air conditioning wasn't an issue since there were many windows we could open up, which allowed a breeze to cool us down. Would highly recommend for anyone thinking of doing a Yellowstone vacation!

Perfect size cabin for a couple or family with older kids. The cabin was very clean and well furnished. The location is great for quick access to Yellowstone or going into Cody for the day. The views were amazing! Will definitely book this cabin again.

Wonderful place to get away!
A fantastic location and a comfortable house with all the amenities we needed. (Laundry with detergent included!) Loved the quiet space and beautiful setting—we could see the Milky Way at night! The longer driving time to Yellowstone was totally worth it to get away from the crowds at this peaceful oasis.
