Some of our favorite outdoor spots in Yellowstone are these:

Beck Lake Park

There’s more than two miles of smooth asphalt trails that loop around two large reservoirs, making it perfect for a relaxing stroll or a casual bike ride. You’ll find plenty of amenities like picnic tables, a day-use area, a boat ramp for your non-motorized watercraft, and even an off-leash dog park for your furry friend to enjoy.

As you explore, be sure to respect the aquatic vegetation zones—these areas are vital nesting and escape habitats for around 80 species of waterfowl and songbirds that thrive here.

Buffalo Bill State Park

This state park offers a fantastic recreation area around the reservoir, perfect for family fun. With two campgrounds and nine developed day-use areas, there’s plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the outdoors.

Whether your family loves shore fishing, swimming, or exploring, there’s something for everyone. Just don’t forget to check with the Game and Fish Department for the latest fishing regulations and to purchase your Wyoming fishing license before you cast your line.
