Wild West Arts Fest
The Wild West Art Fest happens every year on July 2nd, 3rd, and 4th! It attracts over 10,000 visitors to Cody, Wyoming. The annual arts and crafts show is free to attend, and it’s a great place to purchase souvenirs to take back home. Annual Cody Stampede
Woah, nothing says patriotic like spending a day at the rodeo! With a tradition spanning 100 years, the Annual Cody Stampede is the cornerstone of 4th of July festivities in Cody. The event will feature a parade downtown in the morning on July 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, and a nightly rodeo at the rodeo grounds on July 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.
Both events are truly staples in the community; the parade is a fantastic display of local pride and Western heritage, and folks look forward to coming back every Fourth of July to watch the thrilling lineup of traditional competitions at the rodeo. After the rodeo commences, there will be a large fireworks display across the river at dusk on the fourth of July, which we highly recommend viewing! Fourth of July just isn’t the same without some fireworks.
43rd Annual Runner’s Stampede
Want to be a part of the stampede yourself? You can at the 43rd Annual Runner’s Stampede! Cody holds an annual Runner’s Stampede Race, which starts at 7:00 AM on July 4th. There’s both a 5K and 10K category! Anybody can compete in the 5K, but runners must be ages 14 and up to participate in the 10k. We recommend staying hydrated, stretching before you run, and having fun while you are here! If walking is more your speed, there is a walking category for the 5K as well. The Runner’s Stampede is for everyone to join in the fun!
